Seminar on Employment Avenues & Career Management organized at Government Polytechnic College Jammu

The Training and Placement Cell of Government Polytechnic Jammu in collaboration with District Employment and Counseling Center Jammu organized a seminar on “Employment Avenues and Career Management- Position yourself for future” for 5th semester students .The main objective of the seminar was to make the final year students of the institute aware about the various Self Employment Schemes. The speakers for the same were Sh.Sandeep Kumar Singh, Senior Manager, Chenab Textile Mills,Kathua who delivered talk on Functioning of Chenab Textile Mills & Emerging Job Opportunities in CTM. Alpha IT Systems spoke about *Trends in Information Technology, Sh. Suryakant Chaturvedi, North Zone Head from HCL Technologies Ltd, delivered a lecture on *Resume Preparation & Interview Skills.* Dr.Vinod Sharma, Project Manager JKEDI throw light on Employment Scenario on JK UT- issues, challenges and way forward.
The prime focus of the seminar was to make the students familiar with current job market and give them guidance and support to adapt accordingly.
The entire program was conducted under the able guidance of Er. Ritu Jamwal Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu and was coordinated by members of Training and Placement Cell under the supervision of Sh. Rajesh Khajuria Training and Placement Officer.
