The Women member of District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission today took oath of office in the office of Deputy Commissioner, Doda.
The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Paul Mahajan to Advocate Manju Sharma.
The Deputy Commissioner, while congratulating Advocate Manju Sharma, hoped that the Commission will pursue the cases of consumers in the right earnest to deliver Justice.
“The Commission will prove helpful in redressing the problems of the general public. I hope the newly appointed member(s) will work with full dedication and in a fair manner,” the DC said.
He said that the consumers reserve the right to have access to the Commission for redressal of their grievances.
The commission will also impart awareness to the general public regarding their rights to enable them to get their issues resolved, the DC added.
Expressing Optimism of having a speedy Consumer redressal system in the district with the establishment of the Commission, the DC vouched for launching a mass awareness about the consumer rights in the district down to the Block and Panchayat level.
Pertinently, Manju Sharma has served as Public Prosecutor in District and Sessions Court Bhadarwah for seven years and had won many appreciations for her performance.
