The Jammu & Kashmir Powerlifting Team made the Union Territory proud with a stellar performance at the National Powerlifting Championship 2025-26, held from May 2nd to 4th in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The prestigious event, organized by the Powerlifting Sports Organisation, witnessed participation from over 300 athletes representing 15+ states across India.
J&K’s 22-member squad showcased outstanding strength, discipline, and sportsmanship, competing across various weight and age categories. Their efforts culminated in an impressive haul of medals, earning national recognition and accolades.

Ritu Charak earned the coveted title of Strong Woman in the Full Powerlifting Division.
