Two J&K Battalion National Cadet Corps NCC, Jammu and Government Degree College (Boys) Udhampur today organized an event under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav to remember the supreme sacrifices of martyrs of the District, here in the College Conference Hall.
Major Kamal Kishore (ANO) coordinated the event with the NCC Unit J&K.
Around 33 families of Martyrs were enlisted and invited to join the program out of which 18 families attended the event. The program began with the offering the floral tributes to martyrs by the dignitaries followed by the presentation of ‘Samriti Chinh’ to the families.
Prof. Seema Kotwal, who attended the program as special guest, spoke at length about the brave heroes and saluted their families too for their courage.
Prof. Babu Lal Thakur, Prof. Romesh Kumar Atri, among others joined the program to express their gratitude to those who have laid down their lives for their nation. Dr Pallavi Bhagat conducted the proceedings of the event.
The event was conducted under the guidance of the College Principal Prof. Subhash Chander Sharma.
Prof. Romesh Kumar Atri, Department of Botany presented the vote of thanks.
All Ranks of 2 J&K Bn. NCC Jammu were also graced the occasion.
