Jammu, May 13. Amit Kapoor, President of Dogra Welfare Organization, has demanded strict action against land mafia and said that this action should not be limited to only a few people. He said that Bharat Bhushan, who has a white collar and is MD of JK Cooperative Housing Society Sidhra, Tawi Vihar, is the biggest land grabber. He said that Bharat Bhushan has built flats on JDA’s land in Sidhra Tawi Vihar Colony and sold them for billions of rupees. For this, he had attached the design of Siddara Tawi Vihar Colony for approval for construction.
Amit Kapoor said this while addressing a press conference in Jammu. He said that Bharat Bhushan has also sold many plots on JDA land in Siddara and Bajalata. He also presented many proofs during this time and further said that he will expose all the scams done by Bharat Bhushan within the next seven days.
Along with this, Amit Kapoor cited another case and said that Krishna Vantti, who is the widow of Dipti Ram, a resident of Muzaffarabad, was allotted 16 kanal land in Khasra number 48 in Bandhu Rakh on L form. But the surprising thing is that by applying L form in the name of SK, the land mafia in a roundabout way got 48 kanal land allotted on the main road in Barnai in connivance with Janak Singh Tehsildar and the land mafia. No Khasra number, Khebat number etc. was shown in it. In Khasra number 664 and 663, within 15 days of allotment of this land, its registration was done in the name of their respective relatives.
After seven years, the same land mafia got a third piece of land allotted in the name of the same woman in Delhi-Gangyal and that land was also on the roadside. Its Khasra number is 781, 817, 822, 825, 826, 1010, 694 and the allotted land is 33 Kanal 16 Marla. Although the Financial Commissioner has rejected the transfer of the lands of Barnai and Gangyal and a case of FIR number 22-2015 is registered in Vigilance, but no action has been taken on it till now and neither its challan has been presented. Amit Kapoor said that the registry of 33 Kanal 16 Marla land was done by Patwari Ramesh Chand Sharma who retired as Naib Tehsildar two years ago. Amit Kapoor welcomed the government’s decision to impose PSA on land grabbers like Ravindra Gupta alias Gola Shah but he said that strict action should be taken against the land mafia associated with him and other land mafias as well. He said that everyone knows that Majeed Khan is also associated with Gola Shah and he too has earned huge property in connivance with Gola Shah. Along with this, former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah’s kothi has also been built by showing a different Khasra number. Amit Kapoor made such allegations. Amit Kapoor said that strict action should be taken against all land mafias and their properties should be attached as the properties of drug smugglers are being attached.
