Jammu: Continuing it’s drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 22 Kgs 400 Grams of poppy straw from Suketar area under the jurisdiction of PS Jhajjar Kotli.
A police team of PS Jhajjar Kotli constituted under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar and led by PSI Ishfaq and SHO PS Jhajjar Kotli Inspr Samson Bhatti while on naka duty near Suketar Jhajjar Kotli rounded up two suspects on their vehicle bearing Registration No PB07K/5872. During search, 22 Kgs 400 grams of poppy straw was recovered from their possession.
In this regard, case FIR No. 213/2022 U/S 8/15/29 NDPS Act got registered at PS Jhajjar Kotli and accused got arrested. The accused were later identified as
1) Varinder Singh S/o Gurdawar Singh R/o Nangal Shame Ladhewal,Jalandhar Punjab and
2) Charanjit Singh S/o Gurmukh Singh R/o Boot Kapurthala.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
