Jammu: Acting tough on the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which police teams of PS Gharota, PS Channi Himmat, PS R S Pura and PP Beli Charana acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized eight different vehicles involved in illegal mining. Details of the vehicles seized are as under:
1) 3 vehicles i.e 1 tipper bearing Registration No. JK01U 6627 and 2 tractor trollies without Registration No, by PS Gharota.
2) 2 vehicles i.e 2 dumpers bearing Registration No JK02CD 7752 and JK02CL 7752, by PS Channi Himmat.
3) 2 vehicles i.e 2 tractor trollies one bearing registration No. JK21C 8081 and other without Registration No, by PS R S Pura.
4) 1 vehicle i.e 1 dumper bearing registration No JK02CD 2050 by PP Beli Charana
The mining was done in violation of order of Hon’ble High Court of J&k. In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action.
