Continuing it’s drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police recovered 43 grams of heroin from two accused near railway bridge area in the jurisdiction of PS Bahu Fort.
An agile police team of PS Bahu Fort constituted under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari and led by SHO PS Bahu Fort Inspr Nayat Ali while on naka duty rounded up two suspects on a vehicle bearing Registration No JK02BB 5975 coming from Narwal towards Panama chowk Jammu area who behaved suspiciously on seeing police teams. During search, 43 grams of heroin was recovered from them.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 112/2022 u/s 8/20/21 NDPS Act got registered in PS Bahu Fort and accused got arrested. Accused arrested have been identified as
1) Gurmeet Singh S/o Dyaal Singh R/o Rani bagh
2) Raman Sharma S/o Kamal Krishan R/o Ranibagh Opposite Airport Jammu.
The arrest and recovery was done under the supervision of SP South Mamta Sharma.
Further investigation of the case is going on
Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain.
