In a significant action against illegal arms, a police team from Police Post Belicharana, led by PSI Jyoti Choudhary, apprehended an individual identified as Ashutosh Sharma, son of Vijay Kumar, resident of Sector 06, Lane No. 03, Nanak Nagar, Jammu. The accused was found roaming suspiciously within the jurisdiction of PP Belicharana.
Upon search, the police recovered one desi katta (country-made pistol) along with two live rounds from his possession. In connection with this, FIR No. 70/2025 under Section 3/25 of the Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Satwari.
This successful operation was carried out under the close supervision of SHO PS Satwari, Inspector JP Singh, and SDPO Jammu South, DySP Sunil Singh Jasrotia, with the overall supervision of SP South, Ajay Sharma.
