Former minister and general secretary Bharatiya Janata party Jammu Kashmir while addressing a gathering of Panchayat members and locals of border village Chimna Chak in Ramgarh block of Samba said that the people of border area are The real Warriors who are defending the borders of the country without salary without uniform . Dr Manyal said that Modi government has taken care of a large number of issues and problems of the residents of Border area at the international border and the LOC as well.
While addressing the gathering after listening honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Mann ki Baat “ , a regular monthly feature on last Sunday of every month, he said that the issue of compensation to the displaced people residing on the border and construction of bunkers at the borders were the long pending demands of this area. The Modi government has fulfilled its promise of giving compensation to the people of the border and most of the bunkers in these areas are already constructed and the leftover work will be taken up very soon . Dr Manyal said that during this government Most of the roads in the area are already constructed in these 5-7 years time and the left over will be completed in the coming time .
The religious places in this area Baba Chamlyal and Baba Sidhgoria are now well connected with new roads.
The reservation to the border area people has brought a great relief to them and the youth now are availing the benefits of reservation. The people have requested that the process of issuing border area resident certificate may be made simple so that people are not harassed by the concerned deptts on the name of formalities.
Similarly, the locals have also complained regarding the delay in the clearance of DP files , though they admit that the administration has cleared most of them but already a long time has passed and some of the genuine cases are still lying pending . Have requested the administration to clear these pending files.
People are facing problems in getting the paper “Nakal” of their lands also.
Dr Manyal assured the locals that he will take up all their genuine issues with the local administration and try to get them resolved. The three tier system of PRI has brought a revolution in the UT and the benefits of this system are there to see for everybody. The people thanked Hon’ble PM for this change in the UT of J&K . A large no. of development works are in progress in almost all the villages, and the works are being executed under the strict monitoring of DDCs and BDCs. The people requested for the release of pending instalment of PMAY to the poor houseless people.
While making a appeal to the LG administration the local sarpanch and panches requested for giving ownership rights to the people of this area who are local allottees. The Govt had assured that this will be done but no concrete action has been taken by the administration till date .
The farmers of this border belt who have lost their crops in the recent hailstorm said that they have got no compensation till date and informed Dr Manyal that just 5% of the farmers have got the compensation till date .
The LG administration is requested to kindly release the compensation to the deserving farmers at the earliest.
BDC chairman Sh Darshan Singh and DDC S. Sarabjeet singh Johal also addressed the gathering and assured them that all their issues will be taken up with the administration and will be addressed at the earliest.
People gathered appreciated Hon’ble PM s “ Mann ki Baat “ and said that PM was telling us Desh ki baat and thanked the team of DDC , BDC and S. Binder Singh who have made arrangements for today’s “ Mann ki baat “ program.
