Jammu Police continue their relentless drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse under Operation Sanjeevani achieved one more success with the arrest of a drug peddler and the recovery of 318 grams of ganja.
On 18th November 2024, a dedicated police team from Police Station R.S. Pura, under the leadership of the SHO, conducted routine patrolling in the area. During this operation, a naka was established at Agra Chak near Brick Kiln, where a suspicious individual riding a motorcycle (Registration No. JK02BC-1304) was intercepted. Upon inquiry, the individual was identified as Lakshman Prasad S/o Lal Dass, a resident of Chhattisgarh, currently residing at Chhota Rangpur, Tehsil R.S. Pura, District Jammu.
During a thorough search of the suspect, 318 grams of ganja-like substance was recovered from his possession. The accused was immediately taken into custody, and a case was registered under FIR No. 246/2024, U/S 8/20/60 of the NDPS Act at Police Station R.S. Pura.
