GANDERBAL POLICE BUSTED A GANG OF STOLEN VEHICLE SELLERS, RECOVERED 05 STOLEN VEHICLES

10TH FEBRUARY 2022 Today on 10.02.2022, Ganderbal Police busted a gang of stolen vehicle sellers and recovered 05 Stolen vehicles, which were stolen from various parts of the country. The whole gang was arrested and stolen vehicles were also recovered from their possession in the jurisdiction of Police Post Shadipora. To give impetus in the ongoing investigation in the vehicle theft case registered at Police Station Ganderbal vide FIR No. 231/2021 under relevant sections of law, SSP Ganderbal, Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS constituted a special team headed by DO Police Post Shadipora under the supervision of DySP Hqrs. Ganderbal. The said team succeeded in the recovery of 05 stolen vehicles with the arrest of 05 accused persons. The details of arrested persons of vehicle lifter gang is as:-

1. Riyaz Ah S/O Rajan R/O Ganderbal.
2. Riyaz Ahmad Rather S/O Ab Gani Rather R/O Nasrullapora Budgam.
3. Showkat Ah Bland S/O Habibullah R/o Bijbihara Anantnag.

4.Bilal Ahmad Danga S/O Bashir Ah R/O Dangmohalla Wakoora.

5. Sakhi Rather S/O Gh Rasool Rather R/O Wakoora. While interrogating the arrested persons, they disclosed that the stolen vehicles were plying on the roads of the District in a malafide manner. The recoveries of stolen vehicles were made from various areas of the District.

1. Hyundai Creta (01No.)
2. Vitara Breeza (01No.)
3. Hyundai i20 sports (01No.)
4. Maruti Swift VDI (01No.)
5. Maruti Alto Car (01No.) It is pertinent to mention here that Ganderbal Police has recently busted a gang of Burglars and is committed to save the life and property of the common people. Further investigation into above mentioned case is going on. General public is requested to co-operate with the Police so that menace of evil could be curbed and eliminated.
